Why is Kaneka Ubiquinol better absorbed than standard CoQ10?
Kaneka Ubiquinol is the reduced, active form of CoQ10. Unlike standard oil-based CoQ10 powder, Kaneka Ubiquinol is water-soluble, allowing it to pass through the Unstirred Water Layer in the small intestine more efficiently — resulting in up to 3× higher absorption compared to conventional softgels (Uchida 2014).
When is the best time to take Kaneka Ubiquinol?
Take 1 softgel per day with a meal containing some fat. Fat assists CoQ10 absorption. You can take it in the morning or evening — consistency matters more than timing.
Is this product GMP and HACCP certified?
Yes. APOrtha Kaneka Ubiquinol is manufactured under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP-certified conditions. It is also a member of NEM Control, the German quality assurance programme for food supplements.
Is this product suitable for vegetarians?
The Kaneka Ubiquinol raw material is fermentation-derived, not animal-sourced. However, the softgel capsule shell contains gelatin, so the product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. It is gluten-free and lactose-free.
